John Willis

Woodstock Town Football Club is deeply saddened by the passing of John Willis, a kind and gentle man who has been a fixture at the club as well as acting as club photographer. His work can be seen all over  our club website.

John passed away yesterday surrounded by his family after a short illness following an operation.

He was a keen amateur photographer, taking some stunning pictures of wildlife (especially bird life) as well as dedicating a sizeable portion of his life to supporting local football. As well as Woodstock Town, John played a massive role at Kidlington Youth over the years and kept his hand in by marking out their pitches.

As well as being a club stalwart to Woodstock, he was also the proud father of our first team manager Matt Pike, grandfather to players Shaun and Kevin Pike as well former ladies player Nicole Pike.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Matt, Heidi and their family at this very sad time.
