Adderbury Park Preview

The Reds face off against Adderbury Park this evening in the final home game of a very disappointing season. In contrast, Adderbury have been at the right end of the  table all season and find themselves securely ensconced in mid table.

Little should be read into the reverse fixture early in the season where Adderbury smashed Woodstock by double figures. This was a day where Town fielded a bare 11 including 2 players who were injured (one had to come off at half time meaning the second half featured 10 players with Woodstock finishing the game with 9 on the field).

Callum and Nathan Emmett are unavailable for the game tonight whilst Joe Knight and Jacob Haynes return to the squad after missing out on Saturday due to ‘other commitments’ and injury respectively. Haynes is returning from an ankle injury sustained against Farringdon.

Sennan Simmons returns after impressing against Clanfield whilst Hugo Kelly is in contention for another start after scoring against Highworth at the weekend.

A win is needed if Woodstock are to avoid going the whole season without winning at home and if they are to have any chance of catching Newent (who they still have to play). This could be all academical should Clanfield “fail” to field a side against them (as anticipated).

Kick off is at 6.30 and as usual, there will be plenty of hot and cold food available (sadly still no vegan sausage rolls) as well as the bar being open serving a fine selection of beverages to whet your whistle!

Come along and get behind the boys!
