Weekend Preview

Woodstock Town will make the short trip to Barton to face Headington Amateurs in the league looking to extend their 100% record to 8 games against a team who are always difficult and dangerous competition.

Headington are up the top end of the table and need the points to close the gap on the teams above, ourselves included. It’s all set up to be a cracker and if previous encounters between the sides are anything to go by, it’s going to be a ding dong battle from start to finish. Headington narrowly won both encounters last season by the odd goal including with a last minute free kick at Barton Park last December in what was an ill tempered encounter. Revenge would be sweet and keep up the pressure on The other teams at the top as the Reds enter in to a tough week of fixtures with Easington Sports away on the Tuesday and then a home game against table topping Southam United.

Town will be without Patryk Wartalski who is unavailable but James Ward returns to the squad after missing out for the past two weeks. Josh Cox has recovered from injury and is available for selection.

The management have a selection headache with both Molloy and Jeffrey available after the latter is available after serving his suspension for his red card against Milton United.

Kick off at Barton Park is 2.15pm
