Kids Football to Return to Woodstock

Woodstock Town FC are committed to ensuring that there will be football played in the town for many years to come.  We have been busy implementing our sustainable football strategy in order to safeguard the club for future generations.

We have had a great response from the community who have started to get behind us and support us. It is obvious that there is an appetite for football in the Town which has filled us with confidence and shows that we’re on the right path.

We want to get more “Woodstock People” involved in the club and more importantly on the playing side of the club.

We have decided that after a long absence, we will return children’s and youth football to Woodstock so that life long relationships between the club and community can be formed and the children of the town can have another important positive social outlet.

For too long have we lost the best young talent in Woodstock to our neighbours in Kidlington and Yarnton. Our plan is for children to play with us from the age of 6 right the way through to the men’s first team.

However, Rome wasn’t built in a day and we want to do things right. We will be starting with under 6's and then introducing a new under 6 side each year as the previous teams move up through the age group to a point where we hope to have representation for both boys and girls at every age group within 10 years.

So, we need to know 2 things from you..........

Do you have a child in Year 1?

Are they keen to play football?

We will be running FREE taster sessions for boys and girls on Saturday mornings at New Road where children can have fun, learn new skills, be healthy and be part of our fantastic community football club. We are an inclusive club and welcome players of all abilities.

We want to find and develop our players for the future and who have a life long association with Woodstock Town.

We also need volunteers to help us achieve our dream! In return, we will help you to gain recognised FA coaching qualifications along with Safeguarding and First Aid. We are committed to investing in our community to ensure that we have a skilled and qualified bank of volunteers at the club for the future.

If you’re interested in coming along to a session with your child or in helping out with the new team (or any other aspect of the club), give us a call on 07771926975  or email us at info@woodstocktown.co.uk
