Weekend Preview

With the weather getting the better of our cup game on Wednesday night away to Highworth, we concentrate on tomorrow’s league game away to Moreton Rangers.

Moreton are a very difficult proposition at home with runaway leaders Southam only just squeezing past them with a 1-0 win via a dubious penalty. Woodstock will have to be at their best in what will most likely be difficult playing conditions if they are to get anything out of the game.

Town will be boosted by the return of Spackman from suspension with Ward and Wartalski also available for selection. Dan Collier is still out injures but is set to return next week.

There is likely to be a pitch inspection tomorrow morning and we will keep you updated with the outcome but we are hopeful that the game will go ahead.

Elsewhere in Hellenic League 2 North, there are a couple of absolute crackers with the ever dangerous and attack minded Heyford hosting league leaders Southam, whilst 2nd placed Headington are at home to undefeated Adderbury Park. These two game will have a huge effect on the table.

Our Development Team have a Jim regained against Mini Oxford. Callum Oliver is able to name a strong squad with Molloy stepping down from the first team to stand in for the suspended Jamie Davies in goal.  There will be late fitness tests for Greenslade and Hazell who picked up knocks in the week.

Kick off at the Neil Roberts Arena is at 2pm. The bar will be open and there is hot and cold food available. A preliminary pitch inspection has taken place and there is no danger of the game not going ahead.

Join us tomorrow to get behind the Reds!
