With no first team game this weekend, we turn our attention to the big match on Saturday afternoon when former Development Team manager brings his new side to New Road for an eagerly awaited local derby.
Kidlington ‘A’ are a newly formed team and bridge the gap between Kidlingtons youth and development set ups. They have started the season with two “Desmond’s” against Freeland and Chalgrove and will be looking to get their first win when they visit Woodstock this weekend.
Many of last years development team followed Parker to Kidlington including hot shot Morgan Parker, Ryan Chambers and Robbie Jacques. They are joined by Jamie Fisher who has been trailing with the A’s has he tries to break into the Development side at Kidlington and Dan Collier who has also spent time at Woodstock.
It’s likely to be a tough test as The Reds will have to be on top form if they are to get anything from a game where the visitors will be hot favourites.
Woodstock will know all about dangerman Morgan Parker who scored some spectacular goals during his two seasons at New Road including an effort from half way and several bicycle kicks.
Town have a number of injuries and unavailability which could mean that Joe Knight and Harry Mundy could be in line to make their first appearances of the season.
Kick off is 2.30pm at New Road. As usual, the bar will be open throughout and there will be hot and cold food available.
We will be expecting a larger than normal attendance so please be considerate when parking in and around the ground.
