Woodstock have re-signed midfielder Jamie Fisher from Kidlington.
Fisher, who spent 2 seasons with the Reds in two separate spells made the decision to return after a disappointing start to the season where he was overlooked by Kidlingtons Hellenic Division 1 Development Team despite their poor form and Fishers dominant performances for the third string in the Oxfordshire Senior League.
“I’ve had Liam (Walker) trying to convince me to make the switch since the beginning of the season. I’m a Kidlington lad but I don’t think I was getting a fair crack of the whip. Woodstock is a great club and anyone can see the progress they’re making both on and off the pitch. Nothing is a given in football and I will have to work hard to prove to Liam and Matty that I’m worth a place in the starting line up. I’m prepared to do whatever that takes, biding my time if necessary. I back myself to be able to contribute to the continued success at Woodstock and want to be involved”
The club will find out today whether Jamie’s transfer has gone through in time to face Chinnor tomorrow afternoon.
